Assignment 2

Point of View

I take my grandsons to the park,  and they love to climb! (of course, they do...they are boys!)  I took the first photo straight on..feeling quite proud I didn't cut off a foot!) The photos that follow are my favorite when changing my point of view!

 Blake made it!

Less is More

I had the privilege of visiting my parents this weekend.  My Dad is 91 and my Mom is 87.
When I arrived, they had their table set as they always do...as if they were serving very special guests.  My Mom has always loved to have the smell of fresh bread in her home,  as well.  (I can remember coming home from school to the smell of fresh bread as a child).  When I saw the table, I knew what I was going to photograph for this part of the assignment.

  1. it's hard to get even better shots when your first shot is so great but you managed too - nice work!
and i love love love your shots of your parents set table - i think this is something you will always cherish - the ritual of the bread baking and the beautifully set table, makes me want to get out there and take more shots of everyday occurrences that i may overlook but will someday be a wonderful thing to look back on.

  2. Love the shot of him climbing up to where you were. So cute! What a great expression you captured :-)

I REALLY love your images of the table. Combined with your description I can tell those shots have meaning. Nice memories there!

  3. Fabulous shots documenting the parts of life that we take for granted but are so very special. Kudos to you for climbing up to get those high shots...I would have landed on my head!

Great idea for framing Blake in your last shot of him. It feels like a good application of less is more bc we can tell he is on play equipment but nothing distracts us from his proud grin!

What a beautiful table your mom sets. The way you captured the light in the second shot is especially visually pleasing to my eye.
